Washing & Conditioning

We suggest our clients that use the hair for consistent wear to wash their hair every ten days as well as regularly deep condition the hair. Air drying is highly recommended as it avoids the use of added heat. It is essential to make sure the hair is dry before storing.

For our clients that do not wear the hair consistently we still suggest that they wash the wig after every install. This will prevent product buildup and damage to the hair. 

For washing and conditioning, we suggest you do as you would with your natural hair:
- Use a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo to prevent dryness.
- Detangle hair gently with a wide-tooth comb before washing.
- Wash with lukewarm water in a downward motion to avoid tangling.
- Apply a hydrating conditioner and leave it for 5-10 minutes before rinsing.
- Deep condition for added moisture.

Drying

- Gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel or cotton cloth/t-shirt as it is gentler on the hair and prevents breakage or tangling.
- Let hair air-dry whenever possible.
- If using a blow dryer, set it to low heat to prevent heat damage.

It is crucial to ensure the hair is completely dry before styling or storing it, as damp hair can lead to mildew, an unpleasant odor, and potential damage to the hair strands.

Styling

- Use a heat protectant before using hot tools.
- Avoid excessive heat to maintain hair integrity.
- Use silk or satin scarves/pillowcases to prevent frizz and breakage.
- Lightly apply a serum or oil for added shine and smoothness.

Daily Maintenance

- Brush gently with a paddle brush or wide-tooth comb from ends to roots.
- Store in a silk bag or on a mannequin head when not in use.
- Avoid excessive product buildup by using minimal styling products.

Coloring & Chemical Treatments

- Consult a professional stylist before dyeing or chemically treating your virgin hair.
- Always do a strand test before full application.

Longevity Tips
- Treat your virgin hair as you would your natural hair.
- Keep it moisturized and free from excessive tangles.
- Avoid chlorine and saltwater exposure to maintain hair health.
